Oyindamola and Abisoye got married on Saturday, the 30th of December, 2017. Their wedding planned by Nigerian wedding planner, 2706 Events and as you can imagine, we stalked their wedding hashtag on the ‘Gram and found a couple of things we loved about their wedding

The Hashtag: We’re not sure where #VavaRoyal17 came from but we know it didn’t come from the couple’s first names. We’ve talked about wedding hashtags a lot on LoveWeddingsNG and it’s good to see couples branching away from the usual First two letters of the brides name + First two letters of the groom’s name + the year of the wedding = #NigerianWeddingHashtag formula. We’ll definitely like to see more creative wedding hashtags this year.

Pre-wedding Shoot: The bride was styled by Nigerian bridal stylist, Lavish Bridal. For the first look, she wore a plum dress by Tessa Becca and later changed into a bronze dress by Yemi Shoyemi. The makeup by Tenny Coco and her hair by Ceezys Styling completed the look. Check on it!

3 in 1 wedding: If anyone ever tells you its impossible to do it all in a day, send them this link. Oyindamola and Abisoye had a 3 part ceremony all rolled into one day – the traditional wedding, white wedding and the after party and it was seamless. Another reason why you need a wedding planner like 2706 Events on your wedding team. In a world where weddings are becoming more and more expensive and grand, its refreshing to see that it’s still possible to have all three major events in one day and not sacrifice the quality/importance of any of the events.

The bride’s stylist, Lavish Bridal called her the ‘Uber Glam Bride‘ and we totally get why. For her first look of the day, Oyin wore a white, silver and grey traditional outfit. The aso oke by Patrick Ayanski was blinged out and perfect with her Rene Caovilla shoes

For the white wedding, Oyin wore a heavily beaded and blinged out sleeveless mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline and beaded bodice. This was paired with classy and minimal accessories. She looked classy and elegant.

For the afterparty, Oyin stayed true to her bling and glitter in a dress by Tevam Dresses

Sparkling Crystal decor: The crystal ceiling by Yvent Kouture was perfect. You have to see it to get what we mean.

The aso ebi: It’s not very often that we celebrate aso ebi but the aso ebi for #VavaRoyal17 was lovely. The colours and the fabric were bold, elegant and stylish. The groom’s friends looked great in blue co-ordinated agbadas while the bride’s friends made stunning aso ebi designs from their grey aso ebi fabric.

We were chatting at the LoveWeddingsNG HQ about this last week and we realised that over 20 Nigerian wedding vendors have gotten married this year alone. Let’s take you through all the Nigerian vendors who got married in 2017; at least those that we’re aware of.

Oshewa Beauty (#Ifewa17): Bimbo and Agbone (Ife) had their traditional wedding on the 6th of January 2017 in Ilesha; their white wedding held the day after, on the 7th of January, 2017. Her wedding was planned by IPC Events and the bride did her makeup herself.

Faces by Labisi (#LexyLabs17): Princess Labisi Folawiyo got married to Prince Aderemi Sijuwade on the 11th of March 2017.

Solange Hair & Beauty Shop (#Chinsol17): Makeup artist, Solange got married to her fiance – Chino in April 2017.

Lavish Bridal (#TKTheWedding #TKEverAfter17): Bridal stylist, Temi of Lavish Bridals got married to Kehinde in May. Their wedding was planned by 2706 Events.

Lumi Morg & Toun Okunnu (#WaitandGet17): Two talented photographers, Lumi Morgan and Toun Okunnu got married in July 2017. We loved their wedding hashtag – #WaitandGet17, perfect for photographers.

The Wedding TV (#Lurewa): Nigerian wedding cinematographer, Nosa of The Wedding TV got married to Eniola in September 2017. Their wedding was a Gatsby themed wedding.

Bee jay SaxB (#TheBanjokos17): Abimbola Bajoke (popularly known as Beejay Sax) got married to Modupeoluwa in October

GrandKomanda (#TheGrands2017): Wedding MC, Grand Komanda and Lola Uche got married in October. Their wedding was planned by Zapphaire Events.

Ms Makor (#Alfreds2017): Nigerian bridal designer, Anita (a.k.a Ms Makor) got married to Olayemi in October; their wedding was planned by Exquisite Events, Abuja. The bride designed her bridal gown – a 4 meters long , 3 meters wide dress which weighed 40kg. Read more about it here.

Tifara Makeovers (#Ask2017): Makeup artist, Abimbola of Tifara Makeovers got married in October.

Yomi Casual (#TheCasuals2017): Nigerian suit designer, Yomi Casual got married to Grace in October 2017.

Emmanuel Oyeleke Photography (#Mimanuel2017): Nigerian photographer, Emmanuel Oyeleke had his traditional wedding to model, Nanfe Jemimah Bonita Kefas in October

Brookmatrix Photography: Photographer, Brookmatrix Photography got married to Sarah on Friday, the 27th October and Saturday, the 28th October 2017. Their wedding was planned by Events by Eki.

  Access Cards NG & The Gift Fairy NG (#TaiDKnot #DWedding17): Dami and Deji of the Access Cards NG will be saying ‘I Do’ in November. The bride also runs The Gift Fairy NG; we featured their love story and pictures from their pre-wedding shoot.

Tega Onakpome (#A&T2017): Photographer, Tega Onakpome and Abiola are set to wed soon.

May 2017 was all about Temi & Kehinde (#TKTheWedding #TKEverAfter17). The couple had their traditional wedding on Thursday, the 18th of May, 2017 and their white wedding on Saturday, the 20th of May, 2017. Their wedding was planned by Nigerian wedding planner, 2706 Events. Here’s a lowdown of everything we loved about this couple’s big day.

Their story & pre-wedding shoot: We love Temi & Kehinde’s love story, catch up HERE if you missed it. Their pre-wedding shoot was simple and classy.

So Green: One colour that stood out from the traditional and white wedding (even the pre-wedding shoot actually) was the colour green. Everything that wasn’t white was green… from the cake, décor, dance floor, bridesmaids dresses to the bride’s bouquet. We love the consistency.

The Hedge grass Dancefloor: At their traditional wedding, Temi & Kehinde had a hedge grass dance floor designed by Virgo Designs. Very unique and it fit in perfectly with the nature theme of the event. 

Bride’s veil: We love cathedral veils and Temi’s veil was stunning.

Bridesmaids & Groomsmen: We loved the 12 bridesmaids in their green dresses by MsMakor. They looked gorgeous in green with 6 different necklines. The groomsmen also looked on point in their tuxedos by Kimono Kollection. They were styled by Lavish Bridals. 

The Signage: We loved the Temitope & Kehinde conceptualised and designed by their wedding planner, 2706 Events. This signage is one of those items from your wedding that you can reuse when decorating your home.

Live art: Pencils & Brushes Artworks (PnB Artworks) did a live glitter painting at Temi & Kehinde’s wedding. We’ve always loved anything to do with illustrations, art, etc so we absolutely love the idea.
